Introducing Halifax's Premier Dyslexic Non-Binary Musician:

Burry (they/them) blends elements of indie, rock, and pop together to create a flavour of captivating music with an unforgettable and energetic stage presence. Residing on Canada’s East Coast, they strive to show their authenticity and originality through their musical style and well crafted lyricism.

Burry released their first single ‘For a Sad Soul’ in November of 2018, which has garnered over 12k streams across 50 different countries. They used the release of the ‘For a Sad Soul’ music video to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. In 2019, Burry released two more singles: ‘Bi the Way’, as well as a collaborative effort with Roy Angel, ‘Land of Monsters’, produced by The Town Heroes’ Mike Ryan.

Since 2018, Burry has been performing their set of self-discovery styled songs backed by a group of Halifax-based musicians to a growing fan base in Atlantic Canada. Burry’s debut EP, ‘‘Yellow Paint’, a collection of 5 songs, was nominated for East Coast Music Association's Rising Star Recording of the Year.

Burry is an LGBTQ2A+ artist who has dealt with subjects such as mental health and being openly queer in the music industry. They strive to use their platform to amplify voices of marginalized communities in and out of the music industry.

Burry has shared bills with Loving, The Town Heroes, T. Thomason, Sorrey, and Housewife, to name a few.
